Opposite of a Snow Dance (updated!!)
I don’t know what the opposite of a snow dance is, but that is what I am doing in my head right now! I am hearing that we are supposed to get 24 inches of snow within the next two days! I am a teacher and you’d think I’d be excited about this… but I am not! Nor was I excited yesterday when they canceled school because of the snow. The roads were seriously D R Y. We have already had 4 snow days this year and we’ve hit our limit. Now they’ll start taking other holidays from us. Ugh! I am hoping we’ll at least get to be at school long enough tomorrow to count it as a day and then hopefully everything will be clear enough to hold classes on Monday.
I say all of this, but I did include a Snow Ice Cream recipe and some snowy day activity ideas in my newsletter today just in case! I have my teacher bag packed and my crate of papers to grade so I can work from home if necessary. Now I’m off to the grocery store. From what I hear, I am brave to even consider making that trip right now!
**update……9:20pm**
School has officially been canceled for tomorrow. It hasn’t even started snowing yet. Hopefully the storm comes like they say it’s going to though since they’ve already canceled. I am already planning my day out for tomorrow… Take Olivia for a walk before the storm hits… Cook a late breakfast so I don’t have to cook lunch…tackle two boxes in the basement… That’s as far as I’ve gotten and quite honestly that may be all I do!!! Well I have considered polishing my nails just for fun. That would be quite ambitious though. We’ll see i I’m feeling ambitious tomorrow.
