After a month of being extremely busy and having very little couple time, Richard and I finally got to go on a real date! We went to a French restaurant in DC (Bistrot Du Coin) with our dear friends. Our wait was well worth the meal and the fun we had together. Any time we get to spend with Jim and Brenda is an absolute treat. Jim is one of Richard’s co-workers–they work hard and play hard! I am so thankful for Jim and Brenda. The food was as good as the company! We had mussels which was a first for me. Jim says if they’re closed, do not pry them open. For my entree, I ordered salmon with portabella mushrooms and asparagus. OH MY WORD. When I was halfway finished, I told Brenda I wasn’t even hungry any more but could not stop eating because it was so delicious. She had the same problem with the chicken dish she ordered. For once, the girls weren’t really into ordering dessert, but the boys both ordered chocolate mousse and, of course, I had a bite. It was a wonderful evening and we’ll definitely have to go back to Bistrot Du Coin! |

Sounds delicious! And a double date sounds like a fun evening too! So glad you were able to enjoy some grown up time!
